Job Title:  Secretary to Director C&I 

Duty Days: 240 Days

Pay Grade: C05

Primary Purpose:

To facilitate the accomplishment of the district and campus goals and objectives by providing paraprofessional support to executive directors and the curriculum and instruciton department in general.

 

Qualifications:

     Education/Certification

  • High School Diploma/GED

      Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to work in a team setting toward the accomplishment of shared goals
  • Exceptional personal skills in dealing with people such as greeting, answering telephone, giving and receiving information, working  with individuals within the department, within other administration departments, in the schools, and in the public (parents, community members)
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, budget and payroll
  • Bookkeeping experience helpful
  • Ability to interface with principals and administrative personnel in a positive and productive manner
  • Must be capable of performing multiple tasks and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

     Experience:

  • General office/bookkeeping
  • Experience in a school setting preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Provide secretarial duties for Executive Director C&I
  2. Handle several projects simultaneously
  3. Maintain multiple financial records and budgets
  4. Maintain payroll records
  5. Make travel arrangements for Executive Director C&I
  6. Interface with the community and campuses in a postive manner regarding school issues and provides or routes needed information to appropriate personnel
  7. Assist Executive Director C&I in preparing for staff development
  8. Work closely with other departments as necessary to serve Executive Director C&I
  9. Maintain confidentiality

     Mental Conditions:

     Reading: ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under

     stress. Frequent contact with campus personnel, outside agencies and the public

 

     Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

     Repetitive hand motions, prolonged use of computer; frequent phone interactions
