Primary Purpose:
Provide bookkeeping services for the school.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:

Working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures

Proficient skills in typing

Ability to use personal computer and software to create spreadsheets and perform word processing

Experience:
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Type, code and encumber requisitions for purchasing and accounts payable
- Code and encumber petty cash and petty cash checking disbursement vouchers
- Input receiving reports into computer system for payment by Accounts Payable
- Assist with coding, encumbering and receiving PISD warehouse requisitions
- Fax, monitor receipt and payment of office supplies for campus
- Monitor receiving of merchandise requested by purchase orders
- Input, and maintain financial accounts at the campus level
- Prepare budget amendments to enable funds to be moved between various accounts
- Monitor department budgets, assist in budget requests and preparing the operating budget for the upcoming year
- Serve as campus cashier
- Serve as resource person for money-making project and enforce guidelines
- Count and receipt all monies collected from teachers, and students
- Assist school personnel with travel arrangements and prepare requisitions for travel
- Process trip insurance forms
- Check out summary sheets and money bags to school personnel
- Communicate with vendors regarding ordering, delivery, invoicing and payment
- Receive and distribute deliveries to the campus
- Count, band, and roll monies for deposit with the district cashier
- Perform other duties as assigned
