Primary Purpose:
To serve as a member of the multi-disciplinary evaluation team to conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services; conduct and facilitate ARD meetings in accordance with federal and state procedures and regulations.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct full individual Evaluations as apart of the multi disciplinary evaluations team to identify students who may be eligible for special education services.
- Facilitate and conduct the ARD committee meetings on a regular basis using the District Special Education Software IEP program.
- Utilize the District Special Education Software IEP program to keep accurate ARD information on all special education student.
- Work collaboratively with campus administration to ensure State Assessment requirements ar fulfilled and current State Assessment information is available for appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with student, parents, and other members of staff to develop the IEP through the ARD committee process for each student assigned.
- Monitor implementation of the IEP/ARD and support service recommendations.
- Assist special education teachers in developing appropriate IEPs for their students.
- Collaborate with Intervention Assistance Teams (IAT Chair as appropriate
- Collaborate, assist, and coordinate:
- Implementation of effective instructional strategies and modifications
- Appropriate instructional strategies/activities
- Use of learning strategies, materials, and equipment
- With regular education classroom teacher to modify regular curriculum or differentiate instruction
- Consult district and outside resource people regarding education, social, medical, and personal needs of students.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers
- Provide ongoing information to parents regarding Transition services.
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
- Compile, maintain a, and file all physical and computerized reports, records and other documents required.
- Facilitate materials directives.
- Participation in staff development activities to improve job related skills.
- Maintain understanding of and comply with federal, state, district, and school procedures, regulations, and policies for the special education process.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
- Perform other duties assigned.
