Primary Purpose:
To oversee the planning, implementation , management and evaluation of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program at the assigned center
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in education or related field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with the public and frontline staff
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of computer proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate in native language(s) of program recipients prefered
Experience:
- Experience working with high-risk children and families
- Experience in staff supervision
- Experience in managing complex budgets
- Knowledge of community resources
- 21st CCLC or Afterschool/Summer School Program experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organize and work closely with school administration to implement after-school program using the Texas ACE Prime Blueprint an internal ACE Policies and Procedures program manual as a guide
- Recruit, train, and develop qualified frontline staff to achieve intended objectives
- Ensure high-quality program services and support to enrolled students that meets the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program objectives in an effective manner
- Ensure program services are aligned to classroom instruction, follow the scope and sequence, and are supported with daily lesson plans
- Ensure regular student participation, as defined by the program requirements, by monitoring attendance and taking steps to ensure that regular student counts are met or exceeded
- Work closely with the Family Engagement Specialist to implement ongoing family/engagement
- Coordinate data entry and evaluation of program at the center
- Meet all compliance requirements including effective data and fiscal management
- Manage budget and monitor expenses using district budget tracking template
- Organize supplies, materials, equipment, and transportation for center
- Lead and facilitate on-going planning efforts including community outreach
- Facilitate communication and create a link between the school-day and the afterschool program
- Attend all required meetings, conferences and trainings
- Coordinate with community stakeholders to establish a sustainability plan to be implemented at the conclusion of grant funding
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Physical & Mental Demands:
Standard physical activity such as periodic standing, walking, sitting, basic motor skills to access computer files for information or simple data entry. Occasional travel along with frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures, and data, coordinated campus functions; maintain emotional control under stress. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
