Primary Purpose:
Support District wide cabling technologies and associated equipment
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certification:
- High School diploma with some college preferred
- Have a valid Texas Driver's License and maintain insurance requirements of PISD
- Must pass drug test and physical and be part of a random drug testing program
- Must pass criminal history clerk
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Familiarity with low voltage electronics and associated equipment
- Product specific certification and/or professional association's equivalent preferred (BICS), SCTE, etc)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing needs
- Work well with other technical and management professionals
Experience:
- 3-year recent cabling or technology related field
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design, evaluate, implement and troubleshoot District cabling platforms that include fiber, category 6+ coax, low voltage, security systems and coaxial cable
- Maintain campus technology writing closets and associated transport equipment
- Eligible to become product certified
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, be able to work 14' ladder and man lift up to 30 ft. Frequent
prolonged and irregular hours; Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer;
steady phone interactions; moderate standing, walking and bending
