Primary Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the Pasadena ISD LAN, WAN, and server systems.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's, Associates, or Technical degree preferred
- Minimum of at least four years related experience and /or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain insurance requirements of PISD
- Must pass drug test and physical and be part of a random drug testing program. Must pass criminal history check.
Experience:
- Documented experience in network server administration in a Window 200x environment (install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot)

Knowledge, understanding, and practical application of technologies, protocols, and related standards including TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, and IP routers

Documented experience and understanding of MS Active Director, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WINS and Network Printing

Excellent organizational, documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills (MS Visio experience a plus)

Experience with Windows 200x/7 Desktop operating systems

Experience with Google domain administration and Chromebook Deployment a plus

Experience with data center solutions, design, and maintenance

Experience with Anti-virus and Anti Spyware solutions.

Experience in the design, deployment and administration of backup an disaster recovery solutions

Documented or work related experience with Microsoft SQL Server 200x

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing needs
- Works well with other technical and management professionals
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Maintain and document the districts standards for network configuration

Setup, maintain, service, and administer various district application servers

Installation, configuration, modification and maintenance of network electronics

Ongoing support for the districts internal user community, including monitoring system performance and availability, CPU, memory, I/O and network components

Provide day-to-day support for the district servers, workstations, network, printers, and software packages

Utilize network monitoring software to maintain network services

Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, workstation, and software problems

Install servers, workstations, printers, routers and other hardware as required

Other duties as assigned

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., be able to work on 14’+ ladder and man lift up to 30 ft.
