Job Title: Federal Compliance Officer and Family Engagement Liaison

Duty Days: 225

Pay Grade: T07

Primary Purpose: 

 

     To ensure federal title programs are in compliance with local, state, federal regulations

 

Qualifications: 

      Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient in the use of computers and software programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working with Federal programs prefer
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English and Spanish

     Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and attentive to details
  • Experience in training adults
  • Ability to work collaborative

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assist with implementation of the Family and Community Engagement Program
  2. Oversee and manage private school federal programs
  3. Provide guidance to private schools
  4. Collaborate and coordinate services to private schools and ensure compliance with Federal regulations
  5. Audit federal title programs and monitor campus documentation for accuracy to ensure proper accountability and compliance
  6. Develop and prepare individual campus reports for monthly and annual audits
  7. Review documentation (time and effort logs, parent policies, student compacts, and required federal meeting documentation) to check for accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations
  8. Work with accounting department in establishing budgets and maintain expenditures for private schools
  9. Prepare requisitions and maintain budget for the private schools
  10. Review monthly expenditures to ensure compliance and spending within budget limits
  11. Ability to understand and implement federal requirements of school-wide programs
  12. Provide compliance training to all federally funded staff
  13. Develop and provide federally funded staff proper documents for program compliance
  14. Assist in preparing and filing special program audits requested by state and federal agencies
  15. Knowledge of and ability to comply with district policies, state and federal laws, and all regulations regarding federal programs
  16. Serve as liaison between outside vendors and school district regarding private schools and Special Project Coordinator
  17. Verify monthly federal documentation reports
  18. Assist Associate Superintendent with creating and executing an Action Plan in response to state and federal requests
  19. Assist in developing procedures and policies related to federal programs
  20. Submit monthly compliance reports to Associate Superintendent
  21. Attend annual trainings provided by the State
  22. Assist the Special Programs Associate Superintendent and the special programs with federal applications
  23. Facilitate and assist with the coordination of Special Programs district wide events
  24. Network with outside agencies
