Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  •  Valid Texas Teacher certification Secondary level

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  •  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; highly organized and attentive to details.

  • Ability to maintain strict TEA testing timelines through efficient time management.
  • Team player with ability to problem-solve and work well with all levels of campus personnel.

  •  Knowledge of various federal and state-mandated assessment programs.

Experience:

  •   Minimum of 3 years of successful experience including the administration of state-mandated tests

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Supervise the administration of all state-mandated assessment programs

  2. Attend all required Campus Testing Coordinator training sessions
  3. Coordinate and prepare for state-mandated assessment programs in a timely manner including training of campus testing personnel as well as ordering and preparation of testing materials.
  4. Maintain security of all testing materials before, during, and after each testing cycle.
  5. Understanding of and adherence to ethical behavior while overseeing the security required by TEA for all state-mandated assessment programs.
  6. Report all testing irregularities to the District Testing Coordinators immediately, thoroughly investigating and providing detailed information about each incident.
  7. Remain on campus during each testing cycle to supervise test administrations and provide support to campus staff and students.
  8. Coordinate the return of testing materials to the District Testing Coordinators according to TEA-mandated timelines.
  9. Serve as a resource regarding interpretation of test results for staff, parents, and students
  10. Assure that student test results are distributed to parents based on state and district timelines.
  11. Interface on a regular basis with Special Education, LPAC, and Section 504 Committees to have accurate test and accommodation assignments.
  12. Utilize technology skills to maintain accurate student testing information and support
    in on-line testing programs. This includes word processing; spreadsheets; TEA assessment-related documents; and software applications, including but not limited to, Chancery, Mizuni, And EXCEED.
  13. Serve on committees related to testing activities upon request.

  14. Collaborates with other Campus Testing Coordinator(s) to ensure policies and procedures are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  15. Assist in the administration of any district-mandated assessment programs as well as PSAT, SAT, and Advanced Placement testing as requested by the Campus Principal.

  16. Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands Environmental Factors:

Frequent prolonged and  irregular hours; Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; steady  phone interactions; moderate standing, walking, and bending.                             
Physical demands of the work environments will require lifting boxes weighing  20 lbs or more in weight, and often in multiple quantities.
